For the first time ever the PDC are running a womens world championship. Sponsored by Unicorn and Rileys it promises to bring some of the best ladies in the world together for the finals day in Barnsley, UK on June 12th.

First though the ladies have to qualify by winning one of the qualfying tournaments. Irina entered her first event in Rileys in Bournemouth and it proved to be first time lucky with her winning the tournament and with it her place in Barnsley.

no............. not as a student but to take part in the once a year `Cultural Week` at the NATO School in Brunssum, Netherlands.

Every year the school, which mainly caters for the children of armed forces personnel from various countries, they hold a week of activities based on the cultures of each land. The activities varied from the eating of Danish Waffles to a variety show.

Irina spent times with high school pupils from different countries playing darts and hopefully inspiring them to improve their maths skills. Irina donated one of her signed Unicorn dart shirts to the pupil throwing the most points with 9 darts.
